Quick start

Four steps, about ten minutes.

  1. 1
    Sign up
Go to txnhub.app/sign-up and create your account. You’ll land on the Dashboard and be prompted with an onboarding checklist.
  2. 2
    Create your first deal
Click + New Deal on the Deals page. Give it a name and company. You can fill in financials, industry, valuation, and more now, or add them as you learn them during diligence.
  3. 3
    Add contacts & tasks
Open a deal and use the Contacts tab to log the broker, CEO, CFO, and key counter-parties. Use the Tasks tab to assign diligence work to your team with due dates.
  4. 4
    Invite your team
Go to Settings → Team → Invite member. Pick a role — Admin, MD, VP, Associate, Analyst; or BD, Partner, or IC. On the Free tier, every seat beyond the first is $99/month regardless of role. On Odin and above, BD, Partner, and IC seats are complimentary (always free). Invitees get an email to join.

Core features

Everything in the Free tier — no paywall on the basics.

Deals
Every opportunity in one place. Track financials, company info, valuation, status, and current phase from screening through close. Edit inline or in a full drawer.
Pipeline
A Kanban-style view of every deal grouped by phase. Drag to move, filter by industry, owner, or thesis. See your portfolio state at a glance.
Investment Theses
Define the criteria your fund cares about — industries, revenue bands, multiples, geographic focus — and tag deals against them. Ensures every deal maps back to your strategy.
Team & Roles
Invite teammates with role-based access: Admin, MD, VP, Associate, Analyst — plus BD, Partner, and Investment Committee observer roles. On Odin and above, BD/Partner/IC seats are complimentary.
Tasks
Assign work to deal team members with due dates. Track what's open, what's blocking, and what's done without leaving the deal.
Activities
A timeline of everything that's happened on a deal — notes, calls, emails, meetings, milestones, phase changes. Nothing falls through the cracks.

Frequently asked questions

Who is DealHub for?
Private-equity firms, independent sponsors, SBICs, BDCs, family offices, and search funds running buy-side or sell-side M&A deals in the middle market. If you manage a pipeline of deals with a team, it's for you.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. The Free tier includes the full deal CRM, pipeline, theses, team management, tasks, and activity timeline — perfect for solo searchers and independent sponsors starting out. It's capped at 50 active deals. Your first seat is free forever; additional seats are $99/month each (any role — analyst, BD, partner, observer). When you're ready for AI features, upgrading to Odin also makes all BD, Partner, and IC seats free.
What are Licensed vs. complimentary seats?
On paid tiers (Odin and above), Licensed seats are full-access billed seats (Admin, MD, VP, Associate, Analyst) and complimentary seats are always free — intended for Business Development, Partners, and Investment Committee members who observe or source but don't run deals day-to-day. On the Free tier there's no complimentary distinction: the first seat is free and every additional seat is $99/month regardless of role.
Is my deal data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit, stored in a SOC 2–compliant database (Supabase on AWS), and isolated per organization via row-level security. No customer data is used to train machine-learning models. Full detail: see the Privacy Policy.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Deal and contact exports are available as CSV. If you close your account, you have 30 days to export before data is deleted.
What's the AI feature on paid tiers?
Odin and above include a deal-specific AI chat powered by Anthropic Claude. You can ask questions about a deal with full context (financials, notes, documents) and get analyst-quality answers without copy-pasting into another tool. Your prompts are not used to train the model.
How does billing work?
Monthly or annual, per Licensed seat. Annual plans include roughly two months free (16.7% discount). Add or remove seats any time — charges prorate. Plans can be upgraded or downgraded at the end of the billing period.
Do you offer a free trial of the paid tiers?
The Free tier is indefinite, so you can evaluate the core product at no cost. For trials of Odin or Odin Pro, email sales@txnhub.app. Odin Enterprise is bespoke — schedule a call via sales@txnhub.app to discuss custom builds and workflows.
Can I invite my whole team?
Yes. Go to Settings → Team → Invite member. On Odin and above, BD, Partner, and IC roles are free and don't consume a Licensed seat. On the Free tier, additional seats are $99/month each regardless of role — set up seat billing from Settings → Billing, or upgrade to Odin to add Licensed seats at $999/seat/month and get free BD/Partner/IC access.
What phases does a deal move through?
Screening → Diligence → Valuation → Execution → Integration (buy-side) or Separation (sell-side) → Monitoring. You can override the phase on any deal at any time.
Can I archive old deals without losing the data?
Yes. Archive is a separate action from deal outcome (Active / Closed Won / Closed Lost / etc.) — archiving files the deal away without overwriting its final status. You can also configure auto-archive to file terminal-state deals after a threshold.
Who operates DealHub?
DealHub is a product of TxnHub, a brand of Loki Group, Inc., a Delaware corporation. Legal contact: legal@txnhub.app. Privacy / data-subject requests: privacy@txnhub.app.
What is the best M&A deal management software for independent sponsors?
DealHub is built specifically for independent sponsors, SBICs, BDCs, lower-middle-market PE firms, family offices, and search funds — teams that need institutional-grade M&A workflow without institutional-grade headcount or budget. Competitors like DealCloud target large-cap PE and price accordingly (typically $50K+/year minimum); DealHub starts free and scales with seats. See a full side-by-side at /compare.
What is a good DealCloud alternative for smaller PE firms?
DealHub. DealCloud is built for large-cap private equity firms and investment banks with IT teams; DealHub is built for the 1–50 person firm running 10–200 deals per year. DealHub includes deal-aware AI chat, scorecards, and buyer tracking on paid tiers, and has a permanent Free tier so small firms can evaluate without budget approval.
Is Affinity a good fit for M&A deal tracking?
Affinity is excellent for VC funds and relationship-driven investing where the relationship is the primary unit. For M&A — where the transaction itself is what you're tracking through phases (screening → diligence → valuation → execution → close) — DealHub's deal-centric model is a better fit. If your firm runs both VC and M&A, many teams use Affinity for pipeline sourcing and DealHub for actual deal execution.
Can DealHub replace my team's M&A deal tracking spreadsheet?
Yes. Spreadsheets break down around the 20-deal or 2-team-member mark — no shared state, no role-based access, no audit trail, and no way to keep diligence tasks from slipping. DealHub's Free tier includes the full deal CRM, pipeline, investment theses, team management, tasks, and activity timeline — enough to retire the spreadsheet entirely for firms with up to 50 active deals.
Does DealHub support sell-side deal workflows?
Yes. Every deal is tagged buy-side or sell-side at creation. Sell-side deals flow through Screening → Diligence → Valuation → Execution → Separation → Monitoring. The Odin tier adds buyer tracking with a Kanban/table view of buyer outreach, NDA status, IOI amounts, LOI progression, and interaction logs.
How does DealHub handle CIMs and deal documents?
You can upload documents per deal (CIMs, teasers, financial models, LOIs). On paid tiers (Odin and above), DealHub's AI classifies documents by type automatically, and the deal chat can reference document content when answering questions. Document classification and CIM-specific analysis are on the Odin Pro roadmap.
What stack does DealHub use?
Next.js 16 App Router on Vercel, Supabase (Postgres with row-level security) for data, Clerk for auth, Anthropic Claude for AI features. All customer data is encrypted in transit, org-scoped via RLS, and never used for model training.
Is DealHub suitable for family offices?
Yes. Family offices sourcing direct investments benefit from DealHub's deal-centric workflow and investment thesis tagging. On Odin and above, free complimentary seats for principals and advisors who observe but don't run deals day-to-day make the tier pay off — a family office with 3 active analysts and 5 observing principals pays only for the 3 Licensed seats, while the 5 observers ride free.
Does DealHub work for corporate development teams?
Yes. Corporate development teams pursuing strategic acquisitions in the $5M–$250M revenue band use DealHub for deal tracking, diligence coordination, and post-close integration. The investment thesis feature maps naturally to corporate strategy pillars, and the separation/integration phase of a deal captures post-close value creation work.
